The Monson School Committee seeks members for the Monson Superintendent Search Committee. The Search Committee will review confidential applications, conduct the first round of interviews, and recommend finalists for the position on Monson superintendent to the School Committee. 

 

The following seats are available:

3 - Teachers (one from each building)

1  - Special education teacher

3 - Parents/guardians (with students in each building)

1 -  Non-Unit A staff member

2 - Community members who reside in Monson and neither work for the district nor have students in the district at the current time.

 

Those considering serving on the Search Committee should note that in order to serve on the search committee, members must be available all of the following evenings:

• Tuesday, March 18

• Monday, March 31

• Monday, April 7 through Thursday, April 10 inclusive

Members of the search committee should also keep available time the weekend of March 29- 30 to review the submitted confidential applications on their own.

 

This application will be open until Friday, March 14. At that time, the form will close, and the search committee will be selected with a view to balancing the committee representation. All those who apply will be contacted the weekend of the 14th.

 

Note that this search requires confidential work in executive session. Members of the district staff will need to sign a conflict of interest declaration.
