Brief updates and reminders from GV

Good morning, everyone! November 5, 2020 Here are some brief updates and reminders from GV. Tomorrow, 11/6/20 is a Professional Development day for all staff-- no school for students. Quarter 1 is ending today, 11/5/20. Families are urged to periodically check their student's progress on the Portal; grades are updated each Tuesday. An email containing information on how to access the Portal was shared with families earlier this year from Mrs. Lori St. Marie. Report cards will be ready for viewing on the Portal on Friday, 11/13/20. If you require a hard copy, please call 413-267-4155 to request one to be sent by mail. If your student is experiencing any tech related issues-- software or hardware-- please fill out a technology ticket: https://www.monsonschools.com/technology For families who have moved into Monson after the start of this academic year (or for anyone needing a refresher!) vital information about how to access google classroom and other tips can be found on the GV page of the MPS website: https://www.monsonschools.com/gvs There will be no Extra Help sessions on the following dates: 11/9, 11/11 (Veterans Day), 11/23, 11/25 (half day before Thanksgiving break). The Title I Parent Information Session will be held on Tuesday, 11/17 at 6:00 pm. The link will be sent to families in a separate email closer to the date. The English Language Learners Parent Information Session will be held on Tuesday, 11/17 at 6:30 pm. The link will be sent at a later date. Grinn and Barrett Photography will be in Monson to take fall pictures soon. Here are the details: All social distancing and safety protocols will be implemented. Cohort B will be photographed on Wednesday, 12/9. Fully Remote students will be welcomed into the building on Friday, 12/11. All photos will be taken between 12:00 noon and 2:30 pm, by appointment only. Signups will be sent to families closer to the date.
